Penned by Noah #3

The Snowman
Archie was a snowman.

He has a black top hat.

He has a friend named Noah,

who made Archie a snow cat.

Sleet
I hate sleet.

It made me fall.
Things I love about sleet,
they look  like  crystals.
It’s like salt.
Smack!
I slipped and fell!
Ouch that hurt!
Are you ok Noah?
Like an icy snowball,
like a sparkly snow globe.

Deep Thoughts From Noah #42

Upon seeing the snow on the ground this morning....
Noah: "What?! It snowed?! How can that be?  Winter is over."
Me: "Actually, winter has just started."
Noah: "But that makes no sense!  Christmas is over.  Winter is over."
Me: "I think there are many people who would agree with you."

Musings From Natalie #87

Overhead her phone sales convo...
"Hi, this is Natalie.  Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies?"
"Thin Mints? Ok.  Do you want one box...or two or 13?"

Me: "You did a good job selling.  It's tough sometimes.  I remember being so nervous."
Natalie: "Why?"
Me: "Because some would say no."
Natalie: "Well, that's silly because the next one would say yes probably."

Deep Thoughts from Noah #41

This morning Noah was feeling a little anxious about having blood drawn...

Me: You've done this before.  It will be no big deal for you.
Noah: I don't remember.  I'm worried.
Me: I'll be right there with you.  I'll hold your hand.
Noah: I just don't remember.

Thankfully, Noah has good veins and the process was pretty painless for him, but it wasn't until we were driving home that I discovered the true source of his worry.  It wasn't needles.

Me: "You did great.  Nothing to worry about."
Noah: "Mom,  the force is still strong in me."
Me: "Definitely, buddy...definitely."

Musings from Natalie #86

Natalie: Please, please, PLEASE.  Just tell me the password to the iPad.
Me:  No.
Natalie: Come on.  Why not?
Me: Don't you remember what happened last time?  You accidentally purchased a bunch of apps without permission.
Natalie: I can read now.  I will only download those that say FREE.
Me: I'm sorry, but the answer is still no.
Natalie: Just tell me your password...is it I love my kids?
