With the recent death of Natalie's friend's grandmother, she has been inundating me with questions on heaven and God.
Natalie: "Mom, what kind of food is there in heaven?"
Me: "I don't think you'll need to eat."
Natalie: "Well, I hope they have Jelly Bellys."
Natalie: "Mom, are there bathrooms in heaven?" asked Natalie.
Me: "Not that I'm aware of?" I replied
Natalie: "Mom, do they have telephones in heaven?"
Me: "Who would you call? Me?"
Natalie: "No."
Me: "Daddy?"
Natalie: "No... I would just call Noah and Tigger and Bailey."
"What will I look like in heaven? Will I still be a kid? I want to be a kid in heaven," shared Natalie.
"Who are God's parents?" asked Natalie
"Why do we call him God? Why isn't his name George or something?" she asked.
Dear George:
There is a special place in heaven for me, right?
Wait, I always thought his name was Steve?!
ReplyDeleteHahaha...yeah, that's what he thinks. ;-)
DeleteSo sweet! My son is 2.5 and I know one day these questions are coming and I pray Steve, George, or God gives me the right words to answer. :-)
ReplyDeleteHe will!
DeleteI remember those days and those kinds of questions. My kids like to ask: "Did God make that?" I'd usually say: "Well, he didn't exactly make that but he made the things used to make it." Kids have interesting questions, don't they!
ReplyDeleteI think kids are smarter than adults sometimes. ;-)
Deleteaww kids are so curious we have a lot of questions these days too. Happy #SitsGirlsSaturday
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in!
DeleteSOOOOO cute!!! Oh yes- been there....still there...NON-stop!!! My daughter asked me when she was three, "What's God's last name mommy?" Hmm.... ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one!
