The Food Ran Away by Natalie

Once there was a boy named Kevin and he liked to play with his food.  One day his food came to life and wriggled to his neighbor Molly Lolly’s house and then they danced in the cabinets and met other foods like onions and squash and potatoes, too!  There was an apple and an orange and maybe even a grape, too.  They danced till dawn.  When it was dawn Kevin was sad because his grapes and his oranges and his apples were gone.  Then he boo hoo’d all the way to bed.
